FOR THE ANDERSONVILLE LOCATION/Nights and Weekends a Must! Title: Kitchen Manager Reports to: Sous Chef, Head Chef, General Manager, Director of Culinary Operations Position Objective: The Kitchen Manager is responsible for the development, cost management, production, and execution of all site food and menus, as well the hiring, scheduling, and professional development of all staff within the property. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Control property costing, consistency, and quality. Enforce all labor laws (federal, state and local). Ensure kitchen and employees meet state and local requirements
for certification and sanitation. Liaison and coordinate with the Director of Culinary Operations. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen. Manage all kitchen staff, delegate appropriately to culinary management as needed. Maintain positive relationships and collaboration with the culinary team. Maintain positive relationships with local community organizations, media, and charitable causes. Monitor and maintain line plating to meet set standards. Oversee kitchen purchasing and receiving. Oversee monthly inventory of kitchen products. Oversee training and development of kitchen staff. Oversee the schedule for hourly labor; ensure proper staffing for productivity and high standards of quality. Serve as a role model, lead by example and demonstrate professionalism. Staff knowledge and training in tandem with front of house management. Utilize labor effectively to meet budgets - Chef shifts should be scheduled for line, prep, and / or expo. This role requires the following certifications: Food Manager Allergen Training May perform other duties as they arise Must be able to lift 40 lbs and stand for extended periods of time Land and Sea Dept. supports a healthy work life balance. For full transparency, we do however expect all of our salaried leaders to fulfill the expectation of a minimum of 40 hours a week, within a minimum of 5 work days on average.
